Australian Labradoodle (ALD) were popularized in the 80's for the use of hypoallergenic serves dogs. Many breeds were infused to the Labradoodle to stabilize the breed, including the Labrador Retriever, Poodle and Cocker Spaniel. The ALD is probably the closest of the Doodle breeds to be recognized by a registration with their consistent coat type, temperament, and conformation. They are great with children and easy to train and non-shedding. They do make excellent family dogs!
